Girish Sharma is one of the Aditya Mehta Foundation’s older beneficiaries. An International badminton star, Girish had won medals for our nation while playing on just one leg.
When we heard of this man, we immediately knew that our Foundation could help him reach greater heights. With the money raised from our Infinity Ride, we sponsored a specialized wheelchair for sports purposes to Girish. He now plays Wheelchair badminton for our nation, and needless to say, his game has improved multifold. He has won a silver medal at the V-Spanish Para Badminton International Tournament, 2015 while playing on his new wheelchair, and reached a career best of world rank #2 in his category.
