Aug 05 : Manali – Marhi (3,354M) 37km. Today’s biking is on picturesque upper Manali valley on nice road and solid climbing the entire way. Stay overnight in camp.
Aug 06 : Marhi- Sisu/ Gondla (3160M) on bike 59 km. Road poor- rutted and rocky towards the top of Rohtang Pass. About 800m climbing to the top of Rohtang, then flat on the other side after reaching the bottom. The Khoksar to Gondla road is in very good condition. Stay overnight in camp.
Aug 07 : Sisu/ Gondla – Jispa / Darcha (3,400M) on bike 54 Km. Good road but a bit dusty with some easy climbing. Stay overnight in camp.
Aug 08 : Jispa / Darcha – Zingzigbar (4,600M) on bike 40 Km. Road is very bad between Darcha and Patseo – dusty and rutted, some loose rocks on the Baralacha-La. Uphill with a bit hard climbing. Stay overnight in camp.
Aug 09 : Zingzingbar- Brandy Nullah (4,000M) on bike 66 km. Bad road with loose stones (Baralacha -La 4,992) till Kelung Sarai. After that flat, rutted road through Sarchu till Brandy Nullah. Stay overnight in camp.
Aug 10 : Brandy Nullah – Wispy Nullah – Pang (4,630M) on bike 58km. Road is very good. Gata loops to Namkeela Pass and Lachalang –La Pass(5065M) is all gradual climbing. After descending till Pang campsite, the surface is full of loose rocks and rutted. Most of it looks as if there was never any tarmac laid. Stay overnight in camp.
Aug 11 : Pang – Tsokar Lake (4269M) on bike 44km. Road is quite rutted but fantastic. At some locations lot of power is required for biking as route is bit swamped. As more plain road is approached, there is a diversion towards Tso-kar Lake. Tso-kar is a small hamlet and the first village on the way to Tso-Morari Lake. You will also find a small monastery Tukje (Gompa) surrounded with nomadic life and small tarns. Stay overnight in camp
Aug 12 : Tso- kar Lake – Lato (3,700M) on bike 73km. Road is mostly good till Debring, except loose rocks for few kms at the Taglang La. Big climb till the top of Taglang La (5,360M) and 35 km downhill on the other side! Stay overnight in camp.
Aug 13 : Lato – Leh (3,500M) on bike 74 km. Good road, but dry and dusty with scenic beauty of Leh. From Upshi, the whole valley of the Leh region starts and path goes alongside the river. Finally reach the Himalayas to the mysterious land of Lamas (Monks), the capital—“The Moon land” Ladakh—Leh. Stay overnight in.
Aug 14 : Acclimatization at Leh.
Aug 15 : Leh- KhardungLa (5540M) on bike 78km. Hoist Indian Flag. Back to Leh. Road is good up to Khardung-La. Khardung-La is the highest motor able road in the world.
