The Aditya Mehta Foundation has sponsored and trained a big bunch of the Para-Athletes that are currently in Jakarta, as a part of the contingent that is representing our nation. From them, the following three have come back home with medals:

Gurlal Singh won a historic bronze in the Men’s Individual Pursuit (4 km) Cycling Event; in the first ever year of inclusion of the sport at the Asian Para Games. He has become the FIRST INDIAN (able bodied or otherwise) to win a medal in Cycling at the Asian Games level.

Chirag Baretha was a part of the Indian Para-Badminton squad that won bronze, after putting up a tough challenge against the heavyweight teams of Japan and Malaysia.

Anand Kumar is currently in the Para-Badminton semi-finals, and we wish him the very best of luck in winning the entire competition.

AMF has been tirelessly producing talent from the physically challenged persons of our Nation. They have counselled over 900 such people, and brought more than 100 of them into Para Sport. The first target since Mission 100 was announced was to perform well at the Asian Para Games, and the Para-Athletes have not disappointed.
